Day one is in the books. I am convinced that there is nothing easier than starting a diet. It's the days, weeks, and months to follow that it becomes increasingly difficult.
I was able to follow through with some of the initial commitments that I had going in. First, I didn't drink one calorie yesterday. That's a big step for someone who loves sweet tea, not to mention the large glass of apple juice that I normally consumed just before bed. I know diet drinks aren't great for you either but they have to be better than pouring straight sugar in your body. I also drank water. I can remember going several days in a row with no memory of drinking straight water. I'm not a big fan of it, but I know it's good for me.
I also got moving yesterday. I walked a little over 2 1/2 miles without killing over. I know, I'm surprised too. I'm planning on walking 3 or 4 times a week to get started and then increasing that to 5 or 6 times a week.
Like I said, I've started many diets and day one has never been a challenge. Keep me in your prayers as I continue on this journey.

Way to go Jeff! Keep it up. Water is am acquired taste so to speak...once you begin drinking it on a regular basis you will not be able to go without it. It is also more difficult for me to remember to drink water when it is cool out. So try the suggestions from Facebook to add flavored powders with zero calories to your bottle so that you enjoy it more. And juice before bed is no bueno...not only because of the high sugar content that adds to your weight, but also for your teeth.
